Whoa is Noah

Hello there. Sucker reporting for duty :o)

Nah, I'm fine. Actually, I feel oddly content working with this incredibly tight schedule. If anything goes wrong, though, if -- as Edmund Blackadder so elegantly put it -- fortune vomits on my eiderdown between now and June 23rd I'm in serious trouble. But it won't, so that's cool.

Oooh, I'm SO looking forward to our Sip & Stitch at Harmien's next Saturday (a Sip & Stitch, in case you hadn't guessed, is a nicefied version of a Stich & Bitch. We're all too sweet to bitch. Much.) It will not only be a lovely day filled with chatting and stitching, but Saturday will also see the start of a new SAL. Actually, it's going to be a SAL within a SAL, because it's Mary Wigham, the Needleprint freebie that the whole Stitching Bloggers' community is buzzing about. Well, I say freebie, but it would be greatly appreciated if you could make a donation every time you download part of the pattern, and of course, we being the nice people that we are, we all do that, right?
This is my floss and fabric toss. I'm sticking to the suggested colours, because one experimental Quaker (i.e. Bea Pot) is quite enough for me. The holes in my fabric of choice are teeny tiny (my guess is 40 count. Gasp. I know! Way-hay too tiny for me, but it has one advantage over anything coarser: I can use just one strand of floss rather than two, making the whole stitching experience infinitely more enjoyable).

About this new SAL, I think only Heidi, Margaret and I have said 'Aye' to this idea wholeheartedly. I'm guessing it will be 'Nay' on Harmien's part and probably on Barbara's part too, because they are sensible ladies, as opposed to moi, a multiple starter with a case of extra-severe startitis brought on by Mid-Translatic Stress Disorder and I have no self control whatsoever. We haven't discussed it much yet, but I very much hope this will be as guilt-free and fun-filled as the CHS Stocking SAL.

Speaking of which... Before:

After:
Hip hip hooray, I say. I'm so pleased with this. And Noah SO needs to bathe himself and his stocking in hot coffee when he's done.

Hmm. There's a thought...

Yours whoally,
Annemarie.

GORGEOUS progress! I'd really, really hoped to pull Noah out today, but somehow today wound up being even more insane than yesterday. It's hard to believe. But your Noah looks great, and I'm going to delight in that. :D

Noah is looking very nice! The more you stitch the more beautiful he becomes.

Isn't Mary Wigham gorgeous, and I love your colors and fabric. This is a must stitch for me, but I need to wait a little while longer before diving in. Enjoy!

I have a finish today so I am feeling quite high. Now we will ignore the fact that is was just started two days ago and too simple for words. LOL! Plus my other projects are once again sitting ignored AND I am going to sillily (is that a word?) going to start yet another large project with you and Margaret. Still have to start looking through my stash though so you have me beat on speed of gathering the stuff.

Noah looks great. And now I know I can blame him for taking wasps on the ark because look at your stocking. Could he not have left them behind??? They are nesting at the cottage.

Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday and having our broodje Mario!

Hugs ~
Heidi

Your Noah looks great - he is one handsome guy, I think. Enjoy your fun Sip and Stitch and oh, why not throw in an occasional bitch just to liven up the conversation!? I haven't caved yet on Mary Wigham but I'm thinking about it.....

I - am - not - starting - Mary Wigham. Downloading, alright. Paying a fee, alright. Definitely not starting it. Until I do. And then I'll be as wise as you and stick to suggested colours.
Glad to read you are under good pressure !

I too have heard about, saw, downloaded, finagled, finessed, fidgeted , etc., over the Mary Wigham SAL. Don't think there's space in the cabinet for another WIP!
Noah looks great. He's really coming along nicely.

Enjoy your Sip & Stitch. How fun to get together and enjoy the company of friends and stitch. I like your thread and linen choice for Mary. And Noah is coming along nicely.

I am dying with envy over your sip 'n stitch at Harmien's (although I have to say, the name of your get together sounds a bit tame, LOl!) Can I be there in spirit???

Noah is look fantabulous!!!

Woo hoo! Noah is looking good. I confess. I love the bees. I don't know why. I just love the look of those things. This is the first I've seen the Mary Wigham Forever pattern. It's lovely! Good luck with yours; it'll be beautiful when it's done! Have a wonderful time at your Sip & Stitch.

You are so lucky to have stitching friends nearby so you can have a "sip and stitch". I do not know any other stitchers in the whole country nevermind nearby, so I have to keep it all online :) Have fund!
