So, what HAVE I been up to? Well, I’ve been making blankets. Of course. Because one can never have too many blankets.
Even though it is a million degrees outside, which means that it’s probably a million and ten degrees inside, I keep on hooking and knitting blankets, because before we know it Fall will be upon us, and I will actually have a use for all these woolly blankets and all will be right with the world. And until then, I keep making blankets and dream of better, cooler, cozier days, to be spent inside. Curled up under a blanket.
Ooh, and I’ve been crocheting owls, and a snake, too. More of that in a later post (Ha! Don’t go holding your breath now, ladies and gentlemen). Today though, I want to illustrate how I’ve gone completely overboard on the colour, pattern and theme thing. What did I do, I hear you ask? Well. I decorated my dark old bookcases with some pink flowery wallpaper. As you do when you’re up to your eyeballs in deadlines and school vacations (and, for your information, deadlines and school vacations do not a good combination make). Behold my newly decorated library!

The beasties are fine and enjoying some lovely time doing yoga… (they're obviously yoga newbies, which would explain Pipien's slightly worried look)
| What? What're you looking at, you insolent human ? Let's see you try something like this... |
Yours wholly woolly,
Annemarie.

Well, hello there! I was wondering about you just a couple of days ago, and you probably caught my vibes :-) So nice to catch up with your news. Your blankets look wonderful, as does your newly-decorated bookcase - a happy style indeed. Take care, and I hope to see those crocheted animals soon.
I hoped you would be blogging again after the comment on my blog the other day!
It's fun to see you're heading in the same direction. On the moment I can't remember when I touched my cross stitch needle the last time.
It's crochet, quilting, less knitting to be honest!!
But off course you need lots and lots of blankets. A girl just wanna have a choice. Especially when it's as cold as last February.
Blankets which looks yummy!!!
Love your 'nest' with the monster doily and the pink. I hope Pelle is all right.
Good luck on the deadlines!!
Annemarie,
It is good to see a post from you! You've been gone but definitely not forgotten.
Big Hugs to you and Pelle.
We love you no matter what sort of needle you're plying! Glad to have you back. Your blanket is beautiful--great color choices. My mother used to wall paper the backs of the bookcases, and I have thought of painting mine to match the wall they on. But you know how bad I am at motivation. Hope to have you back for a while.
I like the crochet you make, you show pretty blankets on your blog. And we have one more thing in commen, we both like cats.

Annemarie! So glad to 'hear' from you! :)
Erm, welcome back for now? LOL, glad to see you posting something, Annemarie. Love the blankie. It's great! Colors, style, really pretty. And the furbabies are adorable. (And much better at Yoga than I am, lol.) Have a good day!!
Stitchy hugs. You were missed!
Loving that library ~ so cheerful!
So glad to haer from you once again...not matter what you are doing...decorating...crocheting blankets...you, your kitties, and your son are all of interest to me!
Good to see a post Annemarie, I did wonder if you buried yourself under these woollen cotton crocheted things, they are lovely but a long way from winter now!! A brilliant job on your library, it must be the season for DIY, same here. Your past stitching is wonderful and yes we all know about UFO's, our tastes change all the time, like every week!!
Is the boy fine?
Have a wonderful weekend and glad to see you back out there:))
Well, HELLO sweet girl! So good to see a post from you! May I just say, I really do not care if you're not crossing your stitches any longer, it's just always good to see you post and see what you're up to and sweet Pelle too! I LOVE your new bookcase and what you're going for there! love, love, love!
Ohmygosh, the blanket is gorgeous as well and I'm a bit green with envy over the whole thing! I want to make a granny square blanket so badly, but alas, no skillz. Oh well. I can just admire your work :)
Pretty yoga kitties ;-) We got a new cat not too long ago, she has taken up with my adult daughter though and really has nothing to do with me, lol!
Well, so good to see a happy post from you! Hope you're all well and healthy, happy.
xoxo
Just decided to take and peek and see if you had any updates. There it was! Great to see you once more. Maria S.
Hi Annemarie! No kidding, I was thinking about you today as I was looking at the scissor fob you had made for me (still loving it!).
So nice to see your post! Whatever your new interests are, we love hearing from you! The blanket looks great! The bookcase makeover looks good.
The photo of the yoga cats is priceless!
Hugs to you and Pelle. I hope we will see you again soon! Take care!
It's good to see a post from you! I love your creative horizons. Your crocheted blankets are just lovely and beautiful -- i love drooling over them. The bookcases came out great too -- great way to brighten the room! Your yoga cats are adorable! Hey, update whenever you like. Blogs are for fun, shouldn't be a chore.
It's great to see a post from you. I think that all of us at one time change direction with the things that we like to do. Nothing wrong with that - and the more blankets the better. It can get pretty darned cold.
And I thought my cats were weird - but yours are in a class all their own! (Did you know we are up to four felines now? We passed the 'crazy cat owners' boundary aways back.) Niek still wants cats like yours, though, so maybe we'll make it up to double digits. LOL.
Love those blankies. If you start doing consignments, let me know. You have not experienced cold till you've lived in this house in a Maine winter and watched the snow build up in the corners. ;)
I have not been doing much stitching, but that's been a time issue. If only there were more hours in the days!!
Great to see you blogging!
Hi there! Just when I had resigned myself to seeing your blog near the bottom of my Blog Roll (down in the area of "new post-over six motnhs ago") suddenly you pop right up there to the top. Right where you belong. You seem a bit frazzled. E-mail me if you want to chat or I can help you out in anyway.........I do have a cute little critter crochet book that you might like.
Hello, hello! Nice to see you! Love your blankets. Ever think of 'sharing' those on etsy.com? My hook doesn't pull in the way yours does :-). Always interested to see what you're up to! Take care.
Hooray! So good to see you here. Your blankie is beautiful, as is your new decorating. I'm hoping that we'll see you here again soon to tell us more.
So nice to see a chatty post from you! It's good to see you're still creating, in whatever way suits your fancy. :) Life has a way of taking us in different directions as needs arise. Keeping hanging on, Ann, you have a lot of friends cheering for you!
How wonderful to see a post from you! I think we all move off on different paths from time to time and how great when that big wheel circles back to meet up with old friends again. Love seeing what you have been doing...and love the beasties too.
Love your spiffy My Happy days book-case and your Grandmother's doily is breathtaking - talk about putting hours into craft... LOL
Your blanket looks so sweet. Love the colors and the vintage feel!
Take care and have fun crafting, whatever you decide to do!
Lovely to hear from you :) Your blanket is gorgeous & I love the bookcase transformation.
Hey An!
I blog all the time and I'm lucky to get 2-3 comments. Goes to show, absence makes the heart grow fonder.
Your flowery home is sweet! I like what you did with the bookcases.
I love crocheting and haven't done anything in ages. Have you seen Pinterest? I have found crochet projects (flowers!) that I want to try thanks to that site.
We are renovating our little bathroom. We have never changed out the toidy-it was rusty and nasty and 52 yrs old!! And we had to get a new vanity, so I decided on a bowl style sink-very modern. I have lots to sort out. It's amazing what you can jam in a small space!
Don't be a stranger! Hugs to Pelle and the kitties.
Heee! Those entangled kitties made me laugh. And you're right, you can never have too many blankets. No rush to finish, either. :)
