With the cold comes… a cold. Harmien apparently saw this coming before I did, because she sent me this adorable snotrag holder, which I received yesterday:
I’ve been complaining about the meager effects Pelle’s tonsillectomy seems to have had (he had a dreadful cold earlier this week), but I take it all back. You see, this is the first time in five years that I’m ill and that Pelle isn’t. So I’m looking forward to a very quiet and peaceful, albeit snotty and headachy day under the blankets (electric and otherwise), but not before I show you a little something I’ve been working on, off and on, for the last couple of weeks (remember I'm the world's slowest stitcher):
It’s a sweet little sampler for my niece. Hopefully it will be finished by Monday.
Thank you all for your wise words regarding the eyelet stitches. I think I will take Karen’s advice and make a little doodle cloth, to try out the different ways to go about this eyelet-making business. Haven’t had time yet, but I’m sure you will see the results here sooner or later (probably later. You know me).
Off to bed!
Yours snotfully,
Annemarie.

Feel better soon Annemarie and good luck with the eyelets!
I hope you're feeling better soon, Annemarie! your stitching is very pretty! Love those sweet bunnies. Get lots of rest!
I'm glad your accident left you only upset. And I hope you get over your cold soon. I want to see what those rabbits look like finished! :)
Doh dear! Hope your snots get better soon. That little sampler looks very very cute. You haven't said who its by. I like the colours. xx
The rabbits are so cute, a really lovely chart and it looks wonderful stitched with white like that.
I hope you're feeling better soon! It's so funny how snow seems to be THE issue of the winter everywhere! We're slowly getting more and more snow too, it seems to me that we have more snow than for some years. I hope you don't get too much snow in the Netherlands :)
Hey snotsie, how're you doing? Sigh, I am so sad you're ill - but so glad Pelle is not. Knock wood, since Nick had his op (about 4 years ago now), he's been incredibly healthy. And he was sick almost as often as Pelle was, so I hope the effects will be as "miraculous" for Pelle. Big, warm hugs (and soft tissues) to you. Take care!
PS: LOVE those white rabbits. More details, please??
Oh no, not more snot at your house!? I hope you are feeling better soon. The little bunny sampler is coming along well....so cute.
I hope that you're feeling better soon. Take advantage of your day of not feeling well and rest up! I think that those bunnies are adorable!
So glad the accident was minimal--Take care today under those blankets! (My friend and I refer to an electric blanket as "The Miracle of Warmth". "What are you doing?" "Oh, not much, just sitting here under the 'miracle of warmth'.")
Glad to hear that Pelle didn't catch it; as for Pantoef, is it a common Rex thing to have such short whiskers? (Yes, I am asking an obsessive question about someone else's cat. Having no cat of my own...;)
Ugh, I hate being sick when the kids aren't. I feel like I've got an excuse if I catch it from them, LOL (or at least someone to blame!!!)
So sorry about your car, glad you weren't hurt!
Snow, snow everywhere except here in the Pacific NW. Rain we've had, tho! One of the warmest winters here, while the east is hammered. They're trucking snow for the lower venues of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, B.C.
Of course, it was pretty bad in our area last year - Spokane (2 hrs from here, which is considered pretty close) had about 7 feet of snow.
Take care of yourself, An. Great to hear Pelle isn't sniffling!
The bunnies on the little sampler for your niece look adorable.
I hope you will feel better soon!
Sorry about your little bump up, but am glad to know you're okay. Had to LOL at your snotrag comment...that's what my husband always says and I am always trying to get him to change it!!

The bunnies are adorable and can't wait to see the finished piece!
Oh, I hope you feel better soon and that Pelle stays well! Sorry to read about your fender-bender.
What is the adorable rabbit design you're working on? I love it!!!
Sorry to hear of your accident, but glad it wasn't worse! Love your little rabbit sampler! Can't wait to see the conclusion!
Oh poor you. I hope that you will feel better soon. So that you can continue stitching on that lovely little bunny project.
beterschap!!
deze week ook een paar keer aan het glijden geweest, maar gelukkig niks geraakt!
sterkte met het project voor je nichtje, vooral om het voor maandag af te hebben...;-)
Get well soon Annemarie! Cute rabbit sampler - whose design is that?
Having the car slide around is really scary! Glad you weren't hurt!
You are just the snottiest person I know. *passing a tissue* Feel better soon, honey!
Annemarie, I just had to giggle at your use of the word "snotrag"! I didn't know anyone else used that term except me and the DH! Glad you survived your slide into the tree. How scary! From one snotty person to another, hope you're feeling better soon!
Take good care of yourself and feel better soon. Keep sharing lots of pics of all your stitching - it's beautiful!!! :)
I hope your sniffles have moved on and you are feeling much better.
Love those bunnies.
Good luck with those eyelets.
Happy to hear that Pelle has made it through his tonsillectomy and is still his chatty self.
