Well, that's a nice way to start a post, isn't it, especially after such a long absence?
But it's true. You're all evil and do you know why? Because you keep inspiring me to buy and start new projects (of the big-ass kind). To wit:
New start (Needleprint's Sarah Harris, on home-dyed/baked fabric with the recommended DMC threads)
And another one (1854 Isabella Johnstone sampler from SANQ, summer 2010):

Furthermore, I've been making penny rugs:
The large rug is nearly finished, it just needs a backing. I use the smaller ones as coasters.
Also, I made a little progress on Susan Dunn.
Now, as you know, I'm mindlessly, if not dangerously, optimistic, so I truly believe I will get around to stitching and finishing everything in these pictures within the next year or so.
I'm translating up a storm (or at least I should be. Mostly, I just sit at the computer waiting for the urge to stitch to subside), I'm still reading (Finished Another Book), doing yoga, drinking coffee AND...
Thinking of a way to bring you the scary story I promised you a couple of weeks months ago. I haven't forgotten! Harmien was so good as to pose for a series of photographs I thought I needed to illustrate the story, and just to whet your appetites, here's a teaser picture.
She got frightened so badly, it changed the course of her life.
Scream XIII.
Coming soon to a computer screen near you.
Yours stormily,
Annemarie.

Great new projects.
Ooh, I love Sarah Dunn! The eyelets seem to be turning out nicely ;) I think you might be enabling *me* on this one!
I shall be watching your progress on Sarah Harris with interest - the colours look *very* different from the picture of the chart, but it's difficult to get a really good idea as the Needleprint photo isn't very big. I love the random nature of this one though, so it shall remain on my wishlist...for now.
Now I feel in the mood for something "big-ass", besides MY OWN big ass, that is!!
Love the penny rugs. I have quite a few patterns for these, but have never tried one yet.
Oh girl - just too funny. I love your new starts and your new stash.
Those penny rugs look interesting. I have seen them on a couple of blogs.
Look forward to the upcoming adventure from you and Harmien. I'll bet it will be a winner.
Gorgeous new projects and great writing, as usual. Your blog never fails to make me smile (except when there is no new post! ;o))
I love everything I'm seeing here - and I'm including the stroopwafel!! Who's the temptress, lol? I really, really like your start on Sarah Harris, and that linen you're doing it on is simply *gorgeous*. Ack, resistance is becoming futile...
You sure do make me smile!!!! I can't wait to see more of the Adventure.
Your starts are lovely..I thought I had startitis bad but you might have me beat!
Have a good day.

Hey Annemarie!
I have that mag and that sampler with the cow drew me in immediately - will look forward to seeing your progress on it. I'm SURE you'll finish it before me.
Tanya :)
Love everything! I've been play with Sarah Harris' colors. Great new stash too!!!! Looking forward to the adventure story.
Let me get this straight: You're pointing out that you have too many BAPs, and then you show a picture of "Christmas at Hawk Run Hollow" and "Catherine McNeal" in your new stash? You truly are an optimist, my friend, . . . and I am very glad that you are. :-)
Keep those progress pictures coming!
All of your stitching in the works look so pretty, and I love your penny rug! I want to make some of those one of these days too.
Everything you're working on is so utterly fabulous that I don't even know what to say. Yes I do - your penny rugs ROCK!!!!!!!
Dang it. That "Barbara" comment was from me.
I am always amazed at all the WIP you have! I am one of those who must finish each piece as I go.
That is not to say that I am already thinking ahead for a new start!
To be honest, I thought you had forgotten all about 'the scarey story' but I hadn't! Still waiting...
Best to you & Pelle....
Baby wants a new pair a' shoes!!! An, you are going to get me in hot water with myself...enabling me with these newbies of yours! I was just checking in with you to see that you and Pelle were okay. Now look what you've done! :O
BTW, I hope your scary story is awesome, I'm still dealing with my hateful neighborhood peeper. He continues to aggrevate me!
Like, seriously? MUST you post some gorgeous WIP pics?!?! OMG, everything looks fantastic. DANG! I love it. Can't wait to see more. ;)
Gorgeous new starts and stash:)
So you're blaming all of this on us, right? LOL Well, I like being evil and hope that some way I enable you. Lord knows, everyone else enables me!
I love all your new starts and your stash. You've got some wonderful things started and waiting for the future.
Can't blame me for any of that thank goodness...lol. When did you start making penny rugs? I have one as a UFO that needs attention if you have time to spare. :-)
Just back from our few days away and trying to visit a few friends while Dagi happily snoozes on my lap. I hate leaving my little guy for even a day. It is good to be home. :-)
Hugs en groetjes ~
Heidi
I absolutely love your new starts and am looking forward to seeing more of them :) Love the new stash too!
Great starts Annemarie, I love your penny rug. I keep wanting to do those. I think I am feeling enabled-LOL
Eveything looks so good. I LOVE penny rugs! Love them!!!!
I loved the one you sometimes see on Edgar's blog (given him by Vonna) SO much that I totally ordered the kit and made it myself, lol. More of that famous creativity! :D
I am excited to see you are stitching Sarah Harris! I started her yesterday! Did you know there is a blog for the Sarah Harris stitchalong?
http://needleprintsarahharrisstitchalong.blogspot.com/
Come over and share your fabulous stitching with us!
I am sooo tempted by Isabella too, that cow is calling to me!
New starts, new stash, new progress, new BAPs, new finishes - you must be a very happy girl. At least these are the things that make *me* happy.
That teaser picture isn't bad. When does the scary story follow??? LOL.
I love, love your panny rugs! And I also love that you make me feel better about not blogging very often ;)
Oooh lovely new starts - alas, alack for me - no new starts for 6 months! Ha ha very funny Harmien pic. x
Isn't it awful how much we enable each other? lol! Now you may have done the same for me -- never seen Sarah Dunn before! And my husband's grandmother's maiden name was Dunn! Thanks for stopping by my blog! I'm glad to have discovered yours!
Annemarie,
Where are you??? I hope you & Pelle are all right! It's been awhile since you blogged, so I am
missing you amusing stories...
Hope you are back soon.
