Oh my cuteness

Ha-hum. Hi. It's me. I'm not even going to check when my last update was because I will probably be so embarrassed that I'll just run and flee the scene. Thanks for your messages and queries as to my whereabouts, my state (states?)of mental and physical health and my stitching mojo. My whereabouts haven't changed: still reclusing in my cottage in the woods, thank you very much. I have a depression the size of Wales, which is why my presence in Blogland is mostly ghostly. I'm not moping around being a grumpy-pants all day (well, not every day) because that's not how I do things, but, well... it ain't pretty. I'll get there, though. Light at the end of the tunnel and what have you.

One of the guiding lights in said tunnel is stitching! I swear, some of my problems stem from all of those drawers spilling over with unfinished projects. 'AHA!' I hear you shouting gleefully. 'She has finally picked up a WIP/UFO or two and finished them!' Hehe, well no. That's not how I do things eihter. No, I just started a couple of new smaller projects and finished those. Took me much, much longer than I thought (two weeks per piece, as a matter of fact), but still. A finish is a finish, right?
Firstly, the delightful Dandy Dreams by Silver Creek Samplers

The weather is horribly gloomy today, not a ray of sunshine to be seen, so the pictures are pretty awful, but the sampler still looks lovely, doesn't it?

And what about the next one? Sampler Girls by M Designs, the smaller of the two samplers, featured here among some of my most favourite things:

Stitched on 28 count Weeks Dye light grey/straw Gingham Linen, with my own choice of GAST, WDW, CC and DMC. Not sure about the light green (WDW Guacamole), but sure enough not to frog a single stitch :o)

One of my other favourite things in that picture is my darling teddy bear, Mr. Bean. Mr. Bean has been my constant companion, soulmate and oftentimes bedmate since 1992. He's a Merrythought original, signed by his maker... on the very same day that was to become my son's birthday. I just noticed the date on Mr. Bean's paw a couple of weeks ago and it really gave me goosebumps!

Sarah Harris wants some TLC, so I'm off before the critter comes home and demands food and attention and drags me away from my stitching... Enjoy your weekend!

Yours flightily,
Annemarie.

Both pieces are just beautiful! Your stitching always looks so pretty, and Mr. Bean is just adorable!

I love Dandy Dreams! I've never seen that one before. Hang in there Annemarie. I'm all too familiar with country sized depressions. Wish I had some advice! Have you heard anything about the whereabouts of Nobody Loves Me?

Hope you will soon be feeling much brighter Annemarie {{{{hugs}}}}

Both your finishes are absolutely beautiful. I LOVE the saying on Dandy Dreams.

Oh, Annemarie, but I Hear You.

Things aren't so pretty here either (well, they are rather sparkly-clean, at least), truth be told. Sigh. How rotten to be so Down in June--is it not supposed to be the best time of year?

I love your new stitched delights!

What a charming Bear--and a little spooky about his birthday, too. I have stuffed animals. Three of them. There's Ferdinand, who has been on my blog, but also two others, maybe I should show them sometime. Oh, yes, they have names.

I think I might take a page from your book and go start something new. Something relentlessly cheery. ;)

Glad to see you blogging again. Stitching is therapy. I believe it! I also have depression. ( S.A.D) Rainey days are the worst...
As long as I can outside and I can stitch I do fine.... Your finishes are wonderful !! I love the green on the sampler girls. Keep stitching and blogging. We are here for you !!!

Hi Annemarie! Nice to hear from you again. No words of wisdom here as I'm not much better at the blogging bit.

You're well ahead of me as you're stitching way more than I am. Love the two pieces you have finished!

Take care and I hope the sun shines soon for you, both in and out!

Happy weekend, dear Annemarie.

Beautiful finishes! I can understand how you feel...feeling very blue and cranky! I need to get into stitching more...it's fallen by the wayside.

It's so good to see you make a post. I was wondering what was up with you! I hope that you're getting out of your blues. They're not fun. But your stitches pieces are fun! I love both of them. I think the smaller things help us keep going along - we get bogged down by the bigger things!

Sorry to hear that you have the blues Annemarie. I hope things brighten up for you soon {{{hugs}}}

I love both of your finishes, so pretty! Oh and the Guacamole looks just fine from here ;)

Your stitching is perfection. I can relate about the MOJO factor. I just started up a new stitching blog after being absent for awhile.
Please stop by and see me.

I'm so sorry about the country-sized depression; we've missed you. Like everyone else, I like the Dandy design also, and I will go in search of it! Hope you're feeling better soon. I wish you were local--I'd take you out for an ice cream. Or a drink. Or both.

A depression the size of Wales, you say? This is not a good thing. Perhaps you should just declare yourself the PRINCESS of Wales instead. No one is currently holding that title, although I hear Prince William may be getting married soon(not to either one of us, so that may be cause for further depression).
I love the stitching! I can feel a case of "Chart Beggary" coming over me as I look at the dandelion piece.

I have SEEN those drawers which are probably fuller now...lol. I am devoting my summer to finishes some old finishes. Still will start new but want some old UFOs out of the way. Want to join me? I had 5 as a goal and am well on my way. What do you think huh??? Join me for some FoF's (focus on finish).

Love the Mary M Designs samplerette. I have this on order as I want to add the larger one to my sampler wall. Have you seen the Jenny Bean samplers? I think I am ordering them this weekend. See, I NEED a FoF so I can get some new UFOs started...lol.

How is your summer going to sum up? Do you have time for a Sip 'n Stitch at my house for the last time in this house? Of course, then you will have to come have it in my new house too. Just think of all those walls there waiting for quilts and stitching.....

Hugs en groetjes ~
Heidi

Hey there, Annemarie. Gosh, it's great to see a blogpost from you! Though of course I am sorry that life hasn't been raining down roses on you - really, it should. If I had my way, it would. Or maybe just regular sunbeams. ;) GREAT finishes, btw!

Wish I knew what to say to help you feel better. Though I work with words daily, well . . . I am at a loss. Sending a mental hug. Keeping you in my thoughts. Hoping you draw strength from those all around you who care and wish only the best for you. Take care, dear Annemarie!

Your mood may be gray, but your attitude (at least in print) seems sunny. You have good ammunition against those dark days with stitching, friends, and your sweet son! I think there is going to be a rush on the Dandy Dreams charts as so many of us are dazzled by it. Thanks for sharing your great stitching!
