And this? The second picture shows the progress I made yesterday, while I was in the emergency room at the hospital. I don't know what possessed me to drag this huge piece over to the doctor's yesterday morning, but I think I may be psychic. Went to the doctor to tell him of my health problems, doctor scratched his head, then shook it, then called several other doctors at the hospital, whom I could hear scratching and shaking their heads through the telephone. Doctor wrote a note for the emergency room. So I drove myself and Mrs. Slocombe over to the hospital, where they proceeded to stick a needle (easily size 40) into my arm, draw four gallons of blood, and while I waited for the results and for several doctors to come in and scratch and shake their heads, I stitched some hair. And some flower petals.
Long story short, when they were about to hook me up to the IV for the night I asked them if they thought it was a good idea to keep a single mother of a four-year old in the hospital overnight and they said, 'yes, in this particular instance, we do think that's a good idea.' And then I asked, 'Are you sure?' and they saw that maybe I didn't think that was a particulalry good idea and so they asked another doctor to have a look at me, and she came in, had a look, scratched her head, then shook it, and then she said, 'Okay. You go home. But take this insane dose of antibiotics with you and eat it, and if you feel so much as a sneeze too many, you get your *ss down here and we will have you hooked up to this IV quicker than you can say ouch.'
So I'm home. Scratching and shaking my head alternately. Wondering what the H is going on here. Ah well. At least Pelle is better :o) And look at all that PROGRESS!
Last week I also added a couple more stitches to Nobody Loves Me. Now that the words are there, to my befuddled mind this sampler is finished. Well, the words are there, aren't they?
I told you about the BBD Rites of Spring SAL, right? Well, we're supposed to post progress pics on Thursday, but since I'm not sure where I'll be on Thursday (I have no intention of going anywhere, but you never know these days), I will show you how far I've come today.
Has anyone heard anything about the Loose Feathers Club designs for 2009? Any particular theme? I can't wait for the first installment, especially since I was a bit disappointed with the last two of 2008 and I'm wondering if perhaps they got tired of the 'Nature' theme prematurely or whether they got tired of designing period. Still, the fabrics and threads are always worth the subscription, no matter what the design looks like.
I'm going to take a nap.
Yours truly, madly, feebly,
Annemarie.

Annemarie,
You have me worried.
What's going on ?
Your post is full of joke, as usual, but somehow makes me feel uneasy.
Reassurance requested here.
Love, V.
My goodness such beautiful stitching! Everything looks so pretty, and I love how Blue Lady is coming along - you really made great progress.
Take good care of yourself. I hope you and Pelle are feeling better very soon!
Meid ik maak me erg zorgen over jou!!! Jij bent altijd zo dapper maar moet goed voor jezelf zorgen hoor. Ben zo blij dat je ouders dicht bij wonen en dat jij daar zoveel steun aan hebt.
Een dikke knuffel voor jou en je lieve Pelle.
liefs, Margaret
PS Mrs. Slocombe is geweldig!!
I hope you are following DR's orders girl.
take good care of yourself
My goodness, you're making great progress on that huge project! And nice to see your Rites of Spring - I just started mine yesterday, haha. And just got a measly little flower stitched up - but it will get more attention before Thursday.
Mrs Slocombe is getting bigger and bigger! At what costs...? Spending time in hospital is a bad sign, though you haven't been laying in a hospitalbed.
I'm very glad Pelle is all rigth, now his mother...
Aww, Annemarie! I'm so sorry that you're sick, and I hope you feel better soon! Your stitching looks great, though.
Oh dear, i hope you are okay! Look after yourself.
Just catching up on your blog, lots of lovely stitching been going on!
Progress on stitching - brilliant.
Progress on Paelle getting better - brilliant
Progress on Annemarie feeling better - poor - Oh hHeck girl, I hope you get sorted soon and they find out wahts wrong and make you all better again
((gentle hugs))
btw I've nominated you for an award
Great progress, but I'm sorry about the circumstances that led up to it. I hope you're feeling well soon. Terrific news that Pelle has recovered.
You must promise us all that you're following your doc's orders to the letter and that you'll get yourself right back to hospital at the first sign of a problem! Promise now! :)
I have just seen Loose Feathers #34on shakespearespeddler. Not unduly impressed, totally different style from what I like. See for yourself ! And say "yes M'am" to Von !
Dear truly, madly, feebly - the stitching is looking brilliant but the stitcher is sounding like she needs lots of TLC herself. Wish I was there to boss you around, read you a story and feed you! ;-) Take care of yourself!
I hope you get a doctor or two who come up with something when they scratch their heads.
Why were you at the hospital? I hope you are improving???
You really made some amazing progress on your blue lady!!
Sending well wishes!!! Great stitching pics, dearie.
Tanya
You crazy woman. Are you reading these comments at home, or from your hospital bed? I'm sure Pelle wouldn't mind a day or two with Opa and Oma while his crazy mama recuperates in the hospital. Just think of all the people you could share the joy of stitching with. And of all the stitching you'd get done. LOL. Seriously, you better be taking care of yourself because none of us wants you sick - so get better, take those insane antibiotics, and take a bit of care of yourself for a change!
Also sending some healthy hugs your way!
Take care of yourself!!! I hope the doctors can come up with the reason for your illness & find some meds to help you asap. Here's hoping the antibiodics have helped a bit already.
Your stitching is INCREDIBLE, as always! I had to run & make myself a cup of coffee for maximum enjoyment while viewing the eye candy. Your Rites of Spring is so pretty--much prettier than the chart pic!
I was under the impression that the LF for 2009 is the stocking charts. ? I wonder if that's correct. I think they're cute but doubt I'll stitch more than one or two. I also was not too thrilled with the last two 2008 LF charts and am unsure if I'm going to stitch the mystery, even though I bought everything for it. :P Oy.
GET BETTER! I'm glad Pelle is on the mend!
What's wrong??? I hope that the meds are helping yet??
Taking good care of yourself is very important! Please do!
Great progress picture!
So sorry to hear that you are ill...I hope that your meds are helping and that you are feeling a bit better.
But your stitching is fabulous as always {{hugs}}
Annemarie, take care of yourself! Hope you are feeling much better today.
Love all your stitched bits and pieces. Very nice :-).
I hope you are feeling much better soon :)
You really did get a lot of stitching done!
Goodness, Annemarie! I hope since I'm so late in commenting that you're already feeling better by the time you read this. I'm also hoping that your great progress on the "The Blue Lady" is having a restorative effect on you. Take care of yourself, pretty please!
My goodness girl - what is going on around there. What strange thing have you picked up!! Well, at least you got to spend some quality time with your Pistol.
Take care of yourself!!
Oh no, your health, oh no! Make sure you take those insane antibiotics, and hopefully those itchy scratchy doctors will work out what is wrong and quickly! Take good care of yourself (and Pelle of course!).
Lovely stitching though despite everything else :)
I'm coming to this a bit late, so I hope you've been following doctor's orders and taking good care of yourself! I hope you're feeling better and if not yet, then very soon.
All your WIPs look wonderful - we're about at the same point (give or take a bird or two ;) ) on RoS :)
Humm...doctors and hospitals...no fun! I went again this week too. Boy did you really get alot done while they were draining your blood. You stitch so fast. I hope they have at least an inkling of what is happening as you have been sick now for far too long. You are making great stitching progress though. :) Good to hear that Pella is getting better and now it is mommy's turn.
I have my fingers and toes crossed that blogger allows me to comment this time.
Hugs en groetjes ~
XXXXX (that is me trying to type my name with my fingers crossed...lol...Heidi)
Blimey An you and Pelle don't do things by half do you? I am glad to read he is getting better but hope the doctors can soon have things sorted out for you, you have me worried !!
You have had a heck of a time lately and I wouldn't be surprised if exhaustion was not one huge part of it. Take good care of you because if you don't nobody else will, I have only just started realising that one !!
Love your stitching as always x(((hugs)))x to you and Pelle and I really hope you are feeling a lot better now
The piece you took with you to the hospital is great.
I hope your feeling much better, your certainly not having the best of times at the moemnt.
Oh dear! Healthy, healthy thoughts headed your way.
Jeez, if you do this when you're "supposed" to be hooked to an IV, what do you think you'd get done when your 100%?????
Firstly i'd like to say i hope you're feeling better.
Secondly you have some fantastic projects going on, you're stitching is lovely. Look forward to seeing more
